Conference-Debate on Public Policies for Energy Renovation
14 January 2021 • 11h-13h • visioconference

As part of its applied economics research program on energy efficiency, CERNA is organizing a seminar on public policies to support energy renovation.

2021 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for energy renovation policies: launch of a new version of MaPrimeRénov', definition of the objectives of the Energy Saving Certificates system, debate on the proposals of the Citizen's Convention on Climate Change, and so on.  Energy renovation is at the heart of the recovery plan. What can we expect from these developments? Do they mark a real break with the policies pursued over the last 20 years?  Will they lead to an industrialization of energy renovation? Will global renovation succeed? These questions and others will be addressed during this conference-debate.

To discuss these different questions, this seminar brings together economists, industrialists, and activists from the energy renovation sector:

  • Marc Benayoun, Executive Director of the EDF Group in charge of the Customers, Services and Territories Division
  • Matthieu Glachant, Professor of Economics at MINES ParisTech and Director of CERNA
  • Olivier Sidler, spokesman for NegaWatt
  • Frédéric Utzmann, president and co-founder of EFFY
