With Jérôme Pelisse (CSO Sciences Po) : "Comment le droit performe l’économie (et réciproquement) ? Quelques exemples d’opérations et d’agencements économico-juridiques"
he 2016/2017 research seminar of the CSI (Centre for the Sociology of Innovation) focuses on the law, considered from the angle of its practice and its operations.
How do legal norms operate and what effect do they have?
How do they operate today, in particular, in societies that are heavily marked by economic rationalities?
What is the role played by the law in the configuration of economic realities?
These questions have been abundantly addressed in the social sciences. The aim of the seminar is to revisit two broad sets of contributions: those grounded in a sociological perspective, often attentive to the institutional arrangements that are required, for example, for a capitalistic enterprise; and those adopting a rather anthropological perspective, focused on problems such as the definition of the capacity for things to be appropriable.
