Airbus Helicopters' Blue Space: a creative space for blue-collar workers
With Martial Petit and Alexandre Facompré, co-founders of Blue Space
Bluespace is a space for ideation and realization, located at the very heart of the gleaming helicopter assembly lines, to collect all the ideas operators have for facilitating their work. Based on an idea by Martial Petit, a work analyst at Airbus Helicopters, this "ideaspace" dedicated to blue-collar workers is now run by Alexandre Facompré, himself a former workshop companion. He helps his colleagues to turn their ideas for parts or small tools into reality, using additive manufacturing. A fantastic demonstration of work design in action.
