I3-CRG hosted this year the 41st edition of the R & D Management conference, with the theme: "The Innovation Challenge: Bridging Research, Industry and Society". Organized with HEC Paris and the RADMA scientific association, the conference brought together more than 440 people from all over the world. The event was a great success, hailed as such by the permanent scientific members of RADMA.

At the scientific level, the conference shows a growing interest by our peers, especially in Europe: 609 submissions were received - record to date for this conference! The 11 themes of the conference were multiplied into 49 tracks, giving a total of 102 parallel sessions during the conference. The 5 plenary sessions and the meetings with the editors also were scheduled these busy days. Four social events were planned and we will mention the memorable evening in the historic chapel of the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers (CNAM).

The organizers of the conference (Thierry Rayna and Sihem Jouini), but also all the teacher-researchers, the doctoral and post-doctoral students, and a large part of the staff of the Ecole Polytechnique, got involved every day. We thank them warmly!
