The field of mental health is particularly well-suited to developments in AI. Even if most of these approaches are still at an experimental stage, they open up the prospect of personalised treatment paths, both because of the increased predictive capacity for the evolution of illnesses and because of more appropriate exchanges with patients. A good example of this is the possibility of predicting episodes of severe depression using physiological factors processed by Machine Learning. However, the complexity of the clinical and psycho-social factors to be taken into account makes the application of these innovations still tricky. On the other hand, the analysis of data from medical records using natural language methods is progressing by leaps and bounds, opening up complementary perspectives.
