To understand the risks of this instrumental discrepancy with the contemporary issues concerning intensive innovation, this book offers a critical review of the management processes in the R&D area, and an approach to developing a management instrumentation adapted to the current specificities of innovation and research projects. The approach adopted here calls for a deep transformation of the management control tools.
